BACKGROUND

Introduction.

Kawi housing co-operative society limited was incorporated on 18th October, 2013 C/S 15753 after an AGM resolution that was passed in February 2013 by the parent society Energy Saving and Credit society limited with initial members of 10.

Minimum share capital.

After the incorporation in 2013 the minimum share capital was set at Kes 50,000/= and Non refundable registration fee of Kenya Shillings two thousand only (Kes 2,000.00).The share capital is non refundable but transferrable to any eligible bona fide member.

Since inception the share capital has grown exponential to Kenya Shillings one hundred thousand three hundred fifty six only (Kes 100,356.00) as per the end of the financials of 2019.

Membership.

Currently the membership of the society stands at 116 as the financials of 2019 with expected target growth to 150 by 2022.

  • Minimum 20 shares at kshs 1,000 per share
This includes corporate bodies, Welfare Associations and Investment groups
  • Registration fee of kshs 5,000
  • Minimum 50 shares at kshs 1,000 per share

Housing Scheme

The society aims to help members acquire plots of land, build or buy houses for themselves at affordable prices. The properties can be bought across the country where members are and where the interested members have identified suitable pieces of land or houses suitable for their needs. From a humble beginning seven years ago, the Housing Cooperative has grown in membership which now stands at over 150 and an investment of acres of land in Kiserian and Rongai. Since there is strength in numbers, Kawi Housing Cooperative Society members are urged to join the Housing Sacco to enable us forge ahead together.

PROCESS

Those wishing to buy the land will follow the simple steps outlined below;

  • Visit the site and choose the particular parcel. Site visits ongoing every Saturday and upon request.
  • Register as members with Kawi Housing and Investment Cooperative
  • Enter into agreement with Kawi Housing on the terms of payment (either cash or installments)
  • Those wishing to apply for a loan facility will be granted the same through Kawi sacco Loan process
  • All payments will be deposited at Kawi Housing & Investment Co-operative ltd.

Requirements:

  • One should be 18 years and above .

  • 5  Acre Plot @Kshs  5.5 Million
  • 1 Acre Plot @ Kshs 1.6 Million
  • 1/2 Acre Plot @ Kshs 900,000
  • 1/4 Acre Plot @ Kshs 500,000
  • 1/8 Acre plot at kshs 350,000
