To join KAWI, download the membership application form from the website then submit the duly filled form together with a copy of your national ID and passport-size photograph.
Members are required to pay a non-refundable membership registration fee of Kshs. 2,000.
Yes. KAWI membership is open to:
a) Employees of -
- County Governments
- Parastatals/State Corporations
- Private Organizations
b) Private individuals
c) Corporates and Chamas
After complition of payment and submission of the required documentation, it takes approximately 3 months. For more information email us on: info@kawihousing.com.
This is monthly savings made to the SACCO by its members and is non –withdrawal except in complete termination of membership or upon death.
Member’s deposits are refunded after 60 days of receiving written membership withdrawal instructions. This will require that a member has cleared all liabilities to the SACCO and has been replaced as a guarantor for any loans guaranteed by the member.
A member is refunded 100% of their deposits. Share capital is not refundable on cessation of membership but can be transferred (sold) to another member.
After 6 months of saving with the Sacco, the member is entitled to a variety of loan products e.g Jamii Normal, School Fees and Jamii Emergency loans which are granted 3 times of the member Deposits/savings while loans like Jamii Project is granted 4 times while Jamii Jiinue loan is 5 times of the deposits. Mshahara loans is for members whose salary passes through the FOSA.
